The Work Experience Programme.
Let your students make incredible memories while living and working abroad.
Overview.
-
We help your school arrange Erasmus+ internship programmes in Dublin, Ireland. ADC College takes care of important details like finding suitable placement companies, arranging comfortable host family accommodation, and providing support to your students while they are abroad.
ADC College is based in Ireland and offers internships in Dublin. We offer placements across over 550 partner companies in 16 different industries.
-
The Work Experience Programme is aimed at vocational schools and professional bodies interested in international experience for their students. Individual students cannot apply for funding themselves - they need an organisation to apply for funding.
-
Funding through Erasmus+.
Students must be at least 17 years old.
Minimum B1 level of English.
Permission to work in Ireland (please note that Ireland is not part of the Schengen zone).
Flexibility of participants to work in a variety of work places related to their field of studies.
Openness and enthusiasm towards cultural diversity and living standards of another country.
Students must be enrolled in an educational institution.
-
Erasmus+ funding will cover costs such as travel, accommodation, and organisational expenses. Depending on your country of origin, your National Agency will set the amount of funding you receive. As a result, you will either be able to cover all project costs, or your students will need to make a personal contribution.
Students cannot apply for funding themselves - they need an organisation to apply for funding (for example, their vocational school). Unfortunately, students who do not receive Erasmus+ funding cannot apply for our programme.
Placement fields.
ADC has built an extensive network of partner companies, that have been checked for their suitability, health and safety, as well as the quality of the training they provide.
When selecting a company, ADC takes extra care to look at students’ previous training, their experience and their level of English, which will determine the level of responsibility they can assume during their internship.

Benefits for your students & your school
-
Career prospects.
International work experience is a prestigious CV addition showing future employers that your students are willing to go the extra mile.
-
Language skills.
Working in another country helps students put their language skills into practice, picking up useful vocabulary along the way.

Confidence.
At the end of their stay, students often report they feel more prepared to overcome future challenges and feel more confident in themselves and the skills they have to offer.
-
Independence.
Many students will be abroad for the first time in their lives, away from family and their usual social circle. During this time they will grow professionally and learn how to be more independent.

Transferable skills.
Students will learn many transferable skills such as how to adapt to new environments, communicate across language and culture barriers, and take charge of their personal development.

Enhanced reputation.
Offering your students international experience as part of their studies is an excellent way to enhance your school’s reputation in your region as an institution of excellence with an international profile.

We take care of your project
-
Selection process
We want you, your students, and their placement company to be happy. This is why we check your students’ academic background, level of English, their previous work experience and how they fit the requirements of our partner companies.
-
Quality management
We constantly expand the network of suitable placement companies and regularly review student feedback on companies we already work with. We check on students shortly after arrival, in the middle of their programme, and at the end. The insights we gain are carefully analysed and inform decisions on future placements and student support.
-
Reputation and experience
Since 1996, ADC College has built a strong reputation in international education. Many of the 200 EU schools we work with cooperate with us for many years because they know they can rely on us. Since 2010, we have placed over 15,000 students in London & Dublin while achieving outstanding satisfaction scores from students and their accompanying group leaders.

Student satisfaction
We have a track record of satisfied students. According to internal end-of-programme feedback reviewed in 2023, more than 4000 students rated us an average of 9 out of 10. And on Google and Facebook we have a 5-star rating.
-
